SATs Information for Parents

As part of our academic curriculum, we want to give our amazing Year 6 children the very best preparation for their and of Key Stage 2 tests. We refer to SATs as 'Simply A Time to Shine'.

We foster a culture where children want to do well and work hard in order to be the best they can be. We provide the following support for all of or Year 6 children:

- Optional before school, lunchtime and after school revision clubs that are fun and engaging. These are attended by well over 50% of our Year 6 children on a daily basis;
- Regular small group support to help with misconceptions in treading, writing and maths;
- Easter revision club;
- SATs revision festival for parents;
- Bespoke homework package to support home learning;
- Rewards and prizes for commitment to hard work across the academic year;
- Regular Year 6 assemblies that focus on mindfulness and using a positive mindset.

Spelling, punctuation and grammar Test – Grammar/Punctuation – 45 minutes

Spelling, punctuation and grammar Test – Spelling – 20 minutes

Reading Test – 60 minutes

Maths Paper 1 (Arithmetic) – 30 minutes

Maths Paper 2 (Reasoning) – 40 minutes

Maths Paper 3 (Reasoning) – 40 minutes
